need to find ignition key wire please help out
i bought a neat looking security item
its a key pad and you type in the right 4 digit number and it completes the circuit so when you turn the key it lets you start the car.
i can find all the wires needed except where to cut off the key ignition wire that sends the signal too the ignition in the engine.
i heard from someone the key presses a rod down the steering columb but if anyone has a direct spot where i can tap into the ignition wire from the key
please let me know, picture would be even better but whatever you guys can give me thanks

It looks like pin C on the ignition switch will do the trick:

The ignition switch is on top of the steering column inside the dash. You'll need to drop the driver side knee panel and if you can't reach the ignition connectors, you'll also need to drop the steering column a little (2 or 4 15mm nuts - deep socket needed).
If you need more instructions, just search for ignition switch and you'll find plenty of threads, some even with pictures.
Btw, don't forget to use a big relay, there's a lot of current draw on that wire.
Hope this helps.
