No rear defrost
No rear defrost
I got the car a month ago and the rear defrost doesn't work. After some research it appears the drivers side does have the cable connected but there is no cable at all on the passenger. Anyone know of a fix or where to get a new cable?

Re: No rear defrost
I'll look In to it, I have defrost problems of my own as well, so while I am digging I will see if I can get you an answer. Hopefully both of us can have working defrost before winter.

One of the cables goes for power, the other just goes to ground, I don't remember which is which. You'll need to pull back the interior on the one side and see which you have. I want to say the drivers side is the "Power" side and you need to pull away the interior all the way up to the door to gain access to it. the passenger side just goes to ground. I bet if you pull away the interior molding you'll find the end of the wire on that side either disconnected or cut and tucked away under the molding.
There is also a relay under the dash on the passenger side that works at the timing relay for the system. That can go bad and will cause the system to only run for about 1 min and then kick off.
