Heater/ac fan not working, troubleshooting ideas?
I reinstalled everything and now it works but the air only blows through the defrost vents and nothing else, what would cause this?
Car came with ac and i removed it awhile back but the fan still worked for heat. But now, after the car had sat for the winter, nothing happens when I turn any of the ***** on the heater control panel, I don't hear the vents move like usual or any vacuum. I also just got a new heater delete box with motor and it still didn't work even though the guy said it worked before removal. This leads me to think that it has nothing to do with the fan motor. edit: I just tested the motor and it works so it definitely is not the motor.
Any suggestions on where to look for a problem?

If you have a simple 12V test light ($0.99 at Harbof Freight, for example), you can troubleshoot the circuit by following this diagram: http://www.austinthirdgen.org/mkport..._continued.gif
I'd start with the HTR-A/C fuse and continue with the resistor pack and the high-speed relay. The next step would be to pull the control panel from the dash and test the connector on it.
Hope this helps.

Have you done any other work lately? The heater fan grounds to the back of one of the cylinder heads, as does the high-speed relay.
Also, you probably don't have the vacuum hoses to the heater control valve and control head input hooked up right. Try reversing them and see what happens. Even if the electrical stuff don't work, the vacuum doors should still work right if the vacuum lines are done up properly. With no vac signal, the control head automatically diverts air to the defroster as a safety precaution (wouldn't want the windshield to fog up in cruddy weather if you don't have proper hookups, now, would we?).
