Solution for 140 amp Alternator on Serpentine

Thanks to a fellow member on the MCSS forum, I employed his solution for installing a CS144 140 amp alternator on my Serpentine setup. The trick turned out to be selecting an alternator for a 1996 C1500 truck. While a slight mod needs to be made to the Alternator bracket, moving one of the bolt holes about 1/4" , it was otherwise a direct bolt in. You will still need to do the wiring mods for CS144 conversion, but I think that has been covered pretty well in other threads.

You can see his write-up here.
