Hatch pulldown motor problem
Ok so i opened my hatch earlier, and i heard the motor come up. Then when i closed it it will not pull it back down. i checked the relay seems to be ok. I put a test light on the plug going into the motor and the black wire is hot. The brown wire is hot and makes the relay click when i touch it with the test light. The orange and white wires are not hot. Anyone have any ideas or info i would greatly appreciate it.

HATCH LATCH
The brown wire comes from the hatch release, that’s why the test light causes a click.
If it’s the original motor there could be a bad spot on the commutator.
Try turning it 90° manually.
Is the hatch light working?

If People Drove Any Slower They’d Be Going BackwardsFog lights are not driving lights. They look dorky. Turn em off slow pokes.
How bout those dorks too scared to drive without headlights on in the daytime!

Re: Hatch pulldown motor problem
Thanks I got it fixed today. There is a limit switch right above the motor that flips when the motor gets all the way up or down, and it was flipped the wrong way. I flipped it and it went to working right.
