How many wires to the starter?
I have an 85 carb that i put a new used harness in and now the fan runs as soon as the battery is connected. can someone tell me how many wires (not including the purple wire) go to the starter?

If you go to the home page (link at top of page) and click on Technical Articles, scroll down to Electrical, you will find an off-site link to the 1985 wiring diagrams.
You might want to take a look at the cooling fan diagrams for your engine code. The code letter can be found as the 8th digit of the VIN number for the car.
