84 berlinetta digital electronic cluster problem...

i have an 84 berlinetta, and i am working on replacing the whole cluster... i am working on getting a new one, but i need to get the old one out... i have the shop manual for it, and it has the step-by-step instructions... the only part i don't understand is where it says to remove "(2) steering column bolts"... what exactly does that mean? i have everything else detached and the only thing still holding it in is the cable... i can't get it undone... any suggestions?

there are 2 13mm steering column bolts down on the underside of the steering column. You have to first remove the covering (they are torx head fasteners) and then remove the 2 13mm nuts. Removing those will allow the coulmn to drop and that will allow easy access when removing the cluster.

Although u do not need to drop the column it does make things easier to get at.

I think the speedo cable just unscrews out of the back of the cluster.
