Cant seem to figure out why is it that when i drive the 89 iroc to anywhere, the car wont start up after i turn it off? no sound, no spark, just sound of the key turning in the ignition switch. I have recently joined this web site in order to get some type of insight on this problem hopefully from another muscle head. not only has this problem been going on, in addition the NO on my smog is at a high 1600 to where it should be at 772. Where should i restart ?

 

All other electrical works normal?
Clean battery terminals, & while the bat is disconnected,make sure the starter wires are tight & there are no bare wires touching anything.
Replace any bare battery cables // starter wires.
That's where I would begin if it happened to me.
