Wires from the ECM means?
Jus a quick lil question, im experimenting with my harness/relays/fuses. what exactly does the wires going into the ecm mean or what is the purpose for going into the ecm? thanks for any help
Re: Wires from the ECM means?
The ECM is an acronym for the engine control module. It is the brain of the engine. It is located above the footwell of the passenger side on 82' thru '92 f-bodies. The wires you refer to are the harness connectors plugged into the ECM. The harness connects the ECM to all of its' various sensors and control actuators. If you unplug any of these harnesses from the ECM BE SURE to have the ignition switch OFF. If not you might end up damaging it.
