bird dont crank

i replaced the starter in my 91 firebird when i first relplaced it it worked great but then out of no were it wouldnt click or anything then out of the blue it would work but now its toast its not working could it be a starting relay? a bad silinoid on the starter even if new? what could it be plz help thx

Try jumping a 12 volt source directly to the Solenoid terminal on the starter motor. Clip a jumper wire to it and jump it to your positive terminal (be prepared for the starter to turn). If it works fine jumped, the problem is outside of your starter (providing of course your battery is good).

If it still doesn't turn make sure you've got good 12 volt to the hot terminal of the starter through the battery cable. If cable and voltage are fine, it's the starter.

well thx for the assist naf but it was a hidden problem that my automotive class pointed out. for all who had my problem this was my solution.
the battery showed a full 13 volts good right, wrong just because its got the volts dont mean it has the cranking amps my battery is spose to have 700 cranking amps it had 75....
