Strange Electrical Gremlin
I've noticed that on my 83 Z28 when I either turn off, turn on, or completely dim the lights, the sound shuts off on my stereo for about 3 seconds. Not the power, only the sound. The headlight switch and dimmer switch were replaced recently, and the h/u is wired correctly, not a hack job. Any clue what could be causing this?

Was the headlight switch replaced because the dash lights didn’t illuminate?
If YES, dash light voltage is getting into a place on the radio where it does not belong.
If NO, and the H/U really is correct the radio is defective.
Bring it to a radio repair shop.

How bout those nervous nellies too scared to drive without headlights on in the daytime or if there is a little rain!
