Accessory Wiring HELP ! !
i have a 1992 Camaro RS manual locks and windows
i have recently modded up my ashtray to fit two 12V accessory ports (cigarette lighters) and it looks factory, but i was wondering how i should go about wiring them up. i dont have any problem with the ground, i can run that wherever. but i was just wondering where i should get the power from..i am running a switch for them so no worries on that part, but i dont want to just shove random wires into my my fuse box..

You can tap into where the fuse box is fed.
Install an inline fuse to feed your dual 12 volt outlets.
Put the inline fuse as close as you can get to the tap you will make.
A 40 amp fuse would be ok if you’re using 16 AWG or better wire.
Then install an inline fuse for each outlet, 20 amp fuses would be good.

How bout those nitwits too scared to drive without headlights in the daytime, and the nitwits that need headlights for a little rain
