Gray fuel pump wire?

Gray fuel pump wire?
trying to diagnose a bad fuel pump. I have 11v at the purple wire. but nothing at the gray wire. where does that wire get its voltage from? thanks

If it's the wire I think it is, it gets power either from the fuel pump relay or the oil pressure switch.

would that only have power when the key is first turned on and then nothing or should it always have power?

Has power for 2 sec with the key turned on (unless the engine is running), and with the oil pressure switch closed... Otherwise, your fuel pump would always run.
