Pushing brakes turns on gauge lights?
Hey so i have a problem. Everytime i push my brake pedal down my brake lights come on (obviously) but so do my gauge lights and the lights behind my ac/heat control. Any ideas what this could be? Any help is much appriciated.

STOP THAT! . . . . . dash lights
Remove the INST LPS FUSE.
Test and see what happens.
Replace the INST LPS FUSE.
Remove the STOP HAZ FUSE.
Test and see what happens.
Report findings.

Have you replaced a taillight bulb lately? make sure you have dual filiment bulbs where they are supposed to go(stop/tail/turn signal), and single filiment where theyre supposed to be (reverse lights).
Having a single contact bulb were a double goes, will cause this. ask me how I know.

Hey redroc. One other thing I would check is that there are no bare wires under the dash by the brake pedal. The pedal itself could be contacting a wire and completing a circuit.

yeah actually i did replace brake lights recently lol i bet thats the problem thanks for the help guys!!
