HeadLight motors continue to make noise..??
HeadLight motors continue to make noise..??
I recently just changed my battery. While doing that, I was testing the wires to see what the extra "+" wires were for, that went to the battery. This car is a 1982 body, but with 87 formula drivetrain.....and the newer style headlight motors. So, the person that did this switch over, directly ran two red wire from the little distrubution box in the top/center of the fire wall directed to the batrtery, and then another red postive wire from the switch on the dash to the battery. So, when I was figuring out these wires and touching the battery to see what they operated, I made the headlights go open, but there was no "lighting". So, then I realized that the second red wire was the operaton of the light. Haveing said this, now when you open or close the headlets, the motor continue to make spinnig noises for about 4 seconds? I have a 92 that did this all the time (unhacked) and I just delt with it, never looked into it. The motor are not actually spinning during this 4 seconds, just sounding like it, and making some clicks sometimes too. I am thinking since I was testing wires, I got the motor signal backwards from the switch on the dash. Is that possible?
Keep in mind, these lights and the motors were working perfectly before I changed the battery. The motor are actually brand new too.
