tail lights, brake lights, license plate lights....

here i am again with another electrical nightmare, i got in the car to head over to my cousins house, and when i put it in reverse i notice i have no reverse lights, so i park the car, get out and see neither my tail lights, or license plate lights are on... hit the brakes with a pole, no break lights... it all just shorted out, i turned off my gauge lights and hit the breaks again and all the lights on the rear turn on, but really really dim... and if i hit the brakes with my headlights off, the running lights on the front come on, but also really dim... now nothing comes on at all.. except my headlights and gauge lights, i didnt check the blinkers, but i really dont feel like ****ing with it right now, its cold, dark, and wet outside, ill have to wait until tomorrow

i guess what im asking is does anyone no where all the rear lights would ground to, so i can check those, i cant seem to find a good explanation to where they are, im also thinking it may be the headlight switch, id really rather not go and get a new one, so im hoping i can fix the one i have, if that ends up being the problem

im not even really sure how long this has been happening, but i know coming home from work yesterday that my reverse lights at least worked

any ideas are really appreciated

tried to search, but surprisingly couldnt find much

*edit* oh and the fuse is fine

I think the grounds if i remember right are where the hatch motor is that is the ground to all the lights...i had a similar problem when i replaced my hatch motor i didnt put that ground back on and none of my lights worked.
