Summit Mini Starter Wiring Issue! HELP

So I just installed a mini starter from summit and wired everything up as it was with the old and nothing happens. I've tried every combo you can think of.
Here is a picture of the older starter wired up

Here are the instructions that came with it.

At the bottom of this one it says connect a 12 or 14 gauge wire from starter switch to the spade terminal. Am I suppose to have a small wire coming from the upper battery terminal to the ignition terminal?

Re: Summit Mini Starter Wiring Issue! HELP

All of the wires except for the ignition wire should go to the large battery terminal on the new starter. The ignition wire (which looks like it was the pink wire on your photo of the old one) should be the only wire connected to the 'S' (solenoid) terminal on the new starter. The battery wire is hot all the time, the Solenoid terminal receives 12volt when the ignition key is turned to 'start'.

If it's wired like this and still doesn't work, test that the 'S' terminal is getting 12 volt when the key is turned to start and that the bat terminal has constant 12 volt.

Re: Summit Mini Starter Wiring Issue! HELP

Here is how I have the new one wired up. Do I need a small wire from the one large terminal to the other? This just isn't making sense.

Re: Summit Mini Starter Wiring Issue! HELP

Your connections look right, although I can't be certain from the angle.

The other large terminal with the black wire connected should only be hot when the solenoid passes power to turn over the starter motor.

Check voltages. Make sure you haven't blown a fuse or link.

Re: Summit Mini Starter Wiring Issue! HELP

I figured it out. I recently swapped to a T-5 and I never connected the two wires for the neutral safety switch. Easy fix. Thanks for the responses though!
