My MIL light comes on nearly every time I set my choke and start my car, always code 42, it will stay on unless I turn my car off and start it again without setting the choke, this will turn the light of 90% of the time. I know that the code corispondes to the pick up coil and ignition modul, so I replaced both, but the problem persists, I found a recall using mitchell software that says there is a diode pack that can be installed in the generator circut to correct erroneus code 42. any ideas or experiance with the issue?
