Yellow "S" wire splits off to ???
Yellow "S" wire splits off to ???
I am working on a 1982 Camaro, automatic. The yellow "S" wire from the ignition switch to the neutral safety has a same size yellow wire spliced into it that goes to a flat, female spade, two wire connector along with an orange (hot all the time ) wire. This car has been modified, and don't really need this "extra" yellow or orange wire and connector, but I cannot figure out what it is for. It splits off of the harness near the center console and has about a 10" pigtail. All-Data does not show this, and other wiring diagrams I have seen for a stick shift car, only shows the yellow wire going through the clutch switch and this pigtail is way to short for that.
Any help would be appreciated, it is driving me crazy, and a few others I have spoken to also.
