Power Windows Stuck... Need Help
I have a 91 RS both my driver side an passenger side windows dont work. I have my passenger side up and thats fine until i get a new window motor the driver side is stuck down about 3/4 of an inch and rain goes rite into my car. I need to know if their is some way to get it up at least until i can get a new motor. when i press the button i can hear the window try to go up but it dosent move any ideas of how i can just get it up until i get new window motors?
P.s i have the door panels off so i just need know a way to get the motor to atleast go up or to some how manually get it up i dont want to destroy my floor pans with rust thanks for your help...

Check the circut breaker located in your fuse box, these are the only 2 silver breakers in the fuse box, try swapping them and see if the problem is resolved.
If not remove the kick panel on the drivers side and lay underneath the driver side dash and look on the side where you removed the kick panel you will find a bank of orange wires connecting to what looks like a buss bar, check for voltage at this bar using your meter from the bar to a ground source, you are looking for 12 volts when the key is turned forward. If no voltage is present and the breaker is good you can temporarly place a jumper from a 12 volt source in the car to this bar and the windows should work until you can trace the short circut.
I applied this method when I was doing the body work on my son's car and needed the windows to go down, it worked fine.

When my windows got stuck, I tapped the window motors with a hammer while pushing the button, and it worked, once. But just put new motors in, it's pretty easy, took like 30 min a door, from start to finish!
