Uh-Oh, Stripped Battery Terminal

So I have a stripped battery terminal on my brand new Optima Redtop, My mistake by cranking to hard on the post. Any tips on how to fix this would be great, I want to put on Quick Disconnects too.

Re: Uh-Oh, Stripped Battery Terminal

You're screwed.

You might be able to drill and tap the hole to the next larger size. If you do this, put a stud in the battery so you don't have to mess with the battery threads anymore when you have to disconnect the cable.

Redtops have a lifetime guarantee, just go back and switch it out at the store...
