ok. new to the camaro forums. and im sure my question would have been answered in other threads if my car hadnt been previously hacked. but here we go.

i have a 91 rs camaro. 305 tbi. its not the original engine and the harness was messed with for some reason. dont ask me what was done, cause i honestly dont know. but i have a 327, and i just want to eliminate the tbi and engine harness. where would ya'll start. im plannin to run carb. btw.

i want to just yank all the wires out of the engine bay, run some wires to a starter and let it go. someone help meeeee



ok ok, i just found out that the car should run. the guy i got the car from rewired the high beams to a switch, the electric fan to a switch. would cutting the wires to the fan and straight wiring them to a switch cause the engine not to turn over at all?

Dont blindly yank everything or you will be in there later un-yanking wires to make it work correctly

Light harness is separate from the engine harness. You dont touch this half to swap engines

Do not strait wire the fan(s). Use a relay with a thermal switch on the ground leg like factory LO3s did. Tee into the ground leg between the switch and relay to a toggle switch to ground for a manual override. Strait wiring the fan will burn it out quickly and you will be overheating in the middle of traffic causing more headaches then adding simple relay
