Cruise Control/High Beams

My cruise control on the car has never worked and I know that there is an instructional on how to replace that. But recently my high beams have been malfunctioning too. When I flip them on they work fine but when I pull the lever again to turn them off they either shut off all my lights or just turn back on. Is that because of the same problem as cruise control lever. Could the whole lever be bad?

Thank You

It could be bad RE the brights.

However the high beam switch might need adjusting.

You can gain access to it at the bottom of the steering column.

When you pull the lever you'll see the moving rod and the switch.
