Engine: 1995 Lt1
Transmission: 700r4
swap to tpi

Ok if i have a 82 berlinetta with a v6 carb and am putting in a 91 tpi will i need to swap out the interior wiring also? The reason i ask this question is that i have the engine witing harness and the computer all put in but nothing happens i dont hear the injectors coming on since they have no power since i have no fuse for it in my fuse box since it was carb. I tried just putting power straight to it and i hear them click but does not run. I have fuel pressure so i know thats no it

The computer runs the injectors and most likely the '91 had VATS so you won't have the VATS module in your car to tell the ECM to fire the injectors.Need to get custom chip with VATS deleted
Not a good idea to run injector feed without a fuse.

you definitly need to switch the harness from the firewall back. i just put a tpi in my 89 RS and found out the hard way. its not to hard just take your time.

also, you wont here the injectors but you hear the fuel pump do a 2 second prime then shut off. so if you havent switched your fuel pump and fuel lines you will need to do that. As for the VATS system find the resistor ( it would have been behind drivers side kick panel ) un plug the connector and use a wire to jumper power to the positive lead off another lead on the plug that has power with the key on ( i cant remeber the exact wires off the top of my head. hope this helps

You can only bypass the starter enable relay like that but not VATS system .Needs a resistor on wiring to steering column
With your mod, engine will crank all day but never fire because the injectors are not being pulsed
