flip headlights [91 firebird]

so ya as some may know i bought my car about 1 week ago, and i found that the motor for the flip lights doesn't work? i had to manually make them go up... were do i buy the motor to make them flip up and down? anyone ever have this prob?

Are you sure it's the motor and not the control module on the firewall? If the motor doesn't run at all, check the module first.

were would i get buy the control module? cause w/e it is, is gonna have to be replaced.

Do the motors spin yet fail to raise the buckets or do they not energize at all? It they make noise and spin without raising the headlight bucket then you just need to rebuild them using a headlight repair kit. I sell the kits as p/n 207280 headlight repair kit (repairs one headlight motor) or p/n 209280 deluxe headlight repair kit (repairs two headlights) on my web site.

If they do not make any noise or spin at all, then it could be the headlight control module. It is on the firewall between the brake booster and wiper motor. You'll need a 90-2002 module. The 87-89 Firebirds used a different module. Undo the two electrical plugs, then put a flat-blade screwdriver between the left side of the module and the lip of the bracket it is in and you can pop it and it will slide the the right and out of the bracket.
