Posting this up for friend. Well done fuses.
Posting this up for a friend. He has a 92 RS with an LO3 I think is the nomenclature. Sorry, been out of 3rd gens too long. Anyway, its the TBI 5.0. Well, I helped him change his fuel pump because the car was running like crap. No problem there. Drove it to the store to get fuel and it died as we rolled into the station. Fuel pump fuse blown. Replaced, started right up. 2 days later he called me to let me know it died again and was popping FP fuses as soon as he tried to crank the engine. His brother kept screaming it was the FP. I can't believe that is the problem. I've read a thousand other people complaining about this but never a concise answer. What could it be? We unplugged the harness under the rear seat and it didn't blow. As soon as we plugged it back in, it blew when turning over the engine. Help!!!
