I went to Autozone and picked up a new circuit breaker for the Power Accesories slot. I go to put it in my car and turn it on and none of the stuff works still. Here I will list all the stuff that doesnt work:
1.horn
2.power side mirrors
3.power rearview mirror
4.fog lights
5.trunk automatic closing mechanism and trunk release
6.radio
7.power locks? (has power lock buttons but they dont look like they do anything)
8.dome light
9.the map doesnt work either.
Also what would I need to do to make A/C blow cold because right now it doesnt. Also my engine is holding back I know for sure it is a 350 and it has 20,000 miles on the rebuild. So anyone have any ideas on any of this stuff.

The AC may simply need a recharge.

The same things all went out on my car. Also cig. lighter and third brake light. I would replace the fuse and it popped instantly. Somebody told me that often its the lighter that shorts out and keeps blowing the fuse. Try unhooking the connector on the back of the lighter and then replace the fuse. When I did it I looked up and the dome light was on! Maybe it will work for you too. Good luck

 

Thanks for all the help. I was always having the trouble of finding out which fuse it was that was bad. The manual picture helped because I was able to replace the right fuse and I was lucky enough that the lighter didnt cause it to pop. But the thing is though that the fog light, automatic closing mechanism, and the map still dont work. Why?

 

Don't know if i'm bringing back a dead thread or not, but i've been having the same problem and I replaced the fuse and got the cigar lighter, and dome lights to work, but the horn still doesnt work, as well as the power side mirrors the power locks and the windows won't work either. I'm just wondering if you could give me possibilities to test to narrow down the reasoning for all these to be out, keep in mind when I got the car the windows were working fine, and I opened them, closed them, and when I got home they weren't working, took out the switches and fiddled with the wires and got them to work again, for a day, then they're out again. I'm guessing it's faulty wiring somewhere or maybe the window regulators are shot?

 

I really have no idea, it sounds like since you moving them around makes them sometimes work, wiring or connections need to be cleaned up or made more solid. When my window motors were going out, they started only going up part way or working for a bit and then needing to cool back down before working some again. They got sluggish before dying at least in my case. Depending on the year model you have, some have plastic horn switches that wear out. You'll have to look

 

I have a 91 RS. Yeah there is some work to be done with the windows, and getting the horn to work.. I just have to find the time to do the work on it and test all the different possibilities.

 

To get my horn to work I had to take the air bag off(real easy, just 4 bolts, but disconnect the battery!) and trim away some of yellow plastic molding that was keeping the black plastic cover from giving enough to push the horn buttons. Also my buttons were cracked, but simple replacement and the trimming made them work fine. Is the cover on your air bag curling up at the edges, and showing the white stuff underneath? Give it a shot?
