Dash Electrical Problems

Hi!

Recently I've been experiencing some very strange issues with the electrical system in my car. It all started when my tach started reading close to double the normal RPM. Soon every once and a while when I turn on my lights the right turn signal blinker would stay solid green and the tach and oil pressure gauge would fail to come on. I would have to tap on the bezel to get the blinker to go off and the tach and oil pressure gauge to come on.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

The tapping on it to get it working is consistent with a cracked trace in the circuit board.

They can be difficult to see so it’s the type of repair which you should remove the dash and go over all the connections and re-layer some new traces over the old.

That should be good for another 20 years.

The tach reading double might be a separate problem which you’ll find out after the repair of the board.

Happy Racing!
