You'd have to
1) remove the mechanical pump and install a block-off plate to the motor.
2) attach the electical pump at the rear of the car, according to the directions with the electric pump - they push better than pull, thus closer to the tank the better
3) You'll have to use a pipe-cutter (NOT a hack saw or any other saw as they make sparks!) to cut into the fuel line at the rear of the car, cut part of the line out, and insert the pump with 3/8 rubber fuel line and clamps, clamping the rubberr line to the stock hard line where you cut, and clamping the other ends to the fuel pump with the supplied hose barbs and clamps
3) if you get the correct pump, there wouldn't necessarily be a need for a regulator - there are many electic carb pumps available that supply 6psi or less for your carb - Napa and Carquest both carry nice ones on the shelf for about $50
4) use some of the rubber fuel line and clamps to connect the input line from the mechanical pump to the output line of the mechanical pump at the block. This is where I'd personally install a secondary small inline filter as added precaution.

Ooops - wiring LOL - the directions with the fuel pump will explain the wiring - basically just need a hot-in-run wire to the fuel pump with the recommended inline fuse, and a ground connected anywhere to the body at the pump's mounting location.

Max psi would be 6 - anymore is too much - otherwise depends on carb - Quads like closer to 4 or slightly under, Edelbrocks 5.5 max, Holleys I think around 5 as well.
