Where in the jesus do I put my rod?
Where in the jesus do I put my rod?
Just needed a good title to catch your attention
. Anyway my 87 has been acting up by not starting intermittently. It was only giving a quick jolt to the starter and not keeping a flow of electricity. I determined that it was the starter switch and plugged a new one in to the sound of the engine cranking!
So I tried to put the switch back on the column...that's where we are now. I can not for the life of me figure out where the rod actuated by the key cylinder goes on the new, let alone the old switch. This is a picture with the new on the right and the old on the left. The old one has a hole where the something moves back and forth which is the blue arrow. I think where I should put it is in the red hole but can't get it in there or even understand if I do put it in there how will it move enough to actuate the switch? I am starting to think that I got the wrong switch. Where does this rod go?!?!?
