Wiring Questions

As a previous posting stated I am installing a new engine and wiring harness in my 92Z. After three years some things have been forgotten.

I have two questions right now.

1. The wiring junction on the firewall has a dark substance that has since gone away, how should I clean the block and the two connectors and what was the substance and should I reapply it before assembly?

2. All the connections were not marked when removed. Now some of them are confusing as to where they go. Apart from the wiring diagrams located in the various manuals are there any photos or diagrams showing what connects to what?

Thanks,

Jim

Re: Wiring Questions

Get us pics of the connectors in question and we'll see if we recognize any.

a great wiring source Pocket showed me was here:

many, many wiring diagrams, should help with what you're looking for (which i believe you're referring to the C100 plug harness next to the booster on the driver side)
