Computer controls the carb as well, so you'll have to get a different carb unless there's a way to tune a cc-Quad without the computer.

I don't think ECM controls the fan. Either way, I recommend a seperate fan controller to everyone - they are great! No more fan switch in the head to go bad, fully adjustable, and runs any electric fan. I have a Flex-a-lite, there are others as well.

If auto, you'll need a way to lock the torque converter.

I'm no expert on the carb wiring, but most if not all of the wiring in the pass side harness can go - but I always tell folks to keep it and just tuck it all in the fenderwell - it can be totally hidden there, that way it's available if something is needed. And later you have an abundance of in-cabin to engine bay wires to make use of for external lighting, fan switches, fog lights, whatever. I'm always using wires from my old harness for things.

if you go to a non-CC carb, find a way to lock up your TC if you've got an auto, and switch to a vacuum advance distributor, figure out how to wire up the in-tank fuel pump (if you've got one), the entire passenger side harness can go.

Read this: https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/carb...c-control.html

Do those tests to see which switch you have in the tranny (normally open or normally closed). If you have the right one, the thread tells you how to wire it. If you have the wrong one, you'll have to open the tranny pan and replace it.

There's several kits available to do it, I'm running the TCI kit - it works, but the small vacuum switch they supply is junk, and it easily breaks - I just use a manual switch and turn it on/off myself. It's worked fine that way for 4 years now.
