My problem is, the wires going into the plug of my msd distributor broke off right where they go into the plug, so i could not reattach the wires. So i cut the plug off of my ignition box, and wired the box wires to the distributor wires. The car starts, but will not keep a constant idle, and backfires a little bit. Is it possible that i'm not getting enough contact from where i put the wires back together? Or will it not work right without the actual plugs?
