Ok i i tried to follow the wire diagrams to figure out how to wire my lights to toggle switchs, i just cant figure it out, i have a 1990 iroc z. I want a toggle switch for running lamps, head lights, high beams, and interior. can somebody draw it out for me or something? i dont have the light control thing on the dash, just the wires that go to it and i could care less about the dimmer

 

Not trying to be a jerk here - just curious - why not just get a new headlight switch and wire it up as it should be?

 

i just prefer the switches

 

You will have a power wire (s) (12V ) going in to original switch and several wires coming out the lights.

You need to split the power wire so it goes to each toggle switch then on other side of switch hook up the wire that goes to each light circuit

 

i dont kno what wires are for each light though, i can find a power wire though
