Re: No power to fuel pump
yes it turns over and will crank if you pour fuel in the throttle body ofcourse i only pour a little in, I bought the car from a family friend that has been sitting for around 7 or so years and they parked it because the fuel pump wasnt getting any power and I thought that fuse could be the problem but I dont guess so. just trying to get some ideas of things it could be.

Re: No power to fuel pump
There's some kind of thing with the oil pressure sender that interacts with the fuel pump. There's been several threads on here discussing it, try a search. I can't tell you how it works, but I know a lot of other people can. Don't know if that helps?

Re: No power to fuel pump
If the oil pressure sending unit is working, then the fuel pump should run off that. The OPSU is located above the oil filter. But this doesn't resolve the problem - the fuel pump should prime off the fuel pump relay. Check the relay connections again - remove the relay and connect with a wire the grey with the orange, and see if the pump runs then.
Here's wiring diags that might help:

Ok update, I found out the fuel pump is bad I guess as I ran a wire from the positive cable to the grey wire and a wire from the negative to the black wire but still trying to figure out the reason there is no power the black and grey wires have been cut at the pump so im going to get a pump and a new connector and go from there checking everything else the relay, jump the ospu and see what happens. Thanks for all the help guys. From what ive been reading the fuel pump relay is the one with the grey wire, and the fan relay is the one with the big black with orange stripe??? correct?? just wanting to make sure I changed the right one.

Yeah, the fan relay pigtail has 4 wires, a skinny brown and white, a skinny green and white, fat red one, and same size fat black w/red stripe. The other one's the fuel pump relay pigtail. The actual relays are interchangeable
Re: No power to fuel pump
Okay guys I dont think this is normal or I have not experienced it on any other vehicle but when you turn the engine over all the gauges climb as if the car were running all the way to the right as far as they can go fuel, oil pressure, tach all go to the right as far as they can.????
Re: No power to fuel pump
Okay guys I got the car running today the connector going that pugs the fuel pump to the yellow connector on the pickup, the ground wasnt connecting good so I got that out of the way, the car has sat for around 8 yrs and while running the only gauge working was the volt gauge all the others were all the way to the right the tach was fuel oil were all the way to the right the temp gauge may have worked but I didnt let it run long enough as it needs a tune up and the speedometer looked to be ok, just wondering what is causing the gauges to do that and what to do to make them work??

Re: No power to fuel pump
Often grounding out the signal wire to a gauge will cause the needle to peg all the way on. Perhaps insulation has worn through somewhere and is allowing some wires to be shorted to ground? Since you have a 91, you may want to remove the gauge cluster and check the connections and the printed circuit on the back for defects. I personally couldn't tell you what to look for, but it's an idea? Good luck
