map sensor?

Ok i have an 85 305 tpi and my question is why when i accelerate passed the mid-piont of the gas pedal the engine does not responed could it be that my map sensor has gone bad or what other sensor(s) could it be?

but the idle and slow accelerations are good but just doesnt respond in half or full throttle?

thats why im thinkin tps bc u dnt have throttle response at WOT. it ur map were to be bad the car would be shaking erratically as soon as u turn the engine...
do u have any codes from the ses light?
test the tps with an ohm meter. angine off ignition switch open closed throttle should be .50 or so and WOT should be at 4

If his MAP was bad he would have a big problem seeing as 85 TPI doesn't have one

thats funny cause at the auto parts store they pulled one out for an 85 tpi.

'85 has MAF sensor; the tube thingy on intake in front of throttle body
'90+ TPI has MAP sensor mounted on plenum
