Alright I'm new here so ill throw it out I'm bought a 94 short block lt1 so far from the inspection everything was legit took off the iron heads and swapped out for some vette aluminum heads as of now the motor is complete got it to turn and now the body its going on is a 85 z28 the previous owner took everything out ( motor trans computer etc) now I want to wire it up so my question is does anyone one a pretty basic wiring design to get it all hooked up I have a electric fuel pump a hei dist just need to know how to wire and hook everthing up to start it any help would be grateful thanks

Is the driver side harness still in the car? Those are the wires you need. If not, cheapest thing is grab a driver side harness from a JY car. Painless makes a harness kit, it's an easy install from what I read, but it's painful on the wallet.

agreed, only the driver side harness is needed if you're not running any emissions or electric fuel pump. Make sure you get the correct one for your year (or repin it); they are different almost every year and between the two bodies. good link for the wiring you'll be playing with:

Does anyone know how I can wire my fuel pump I have an external procomp fuel pump I know I have to mount it to by the gas tank and wire it to a relay but I also heard u can just wire it to the ignition switch with a 7 amp fuse any help would be helpful thanks
