alternator sense line question

Hey guys, I was doing some reading online and discovered that the bat terminal on the back of the alternator is not a good place to connect the sense line. apparently it should be connected somewhere that sees more electrical load. I don't know a lot about electrical stuff so where would be the best place to connect it? thanks

Connection Perfection

The sense line should be connected at the battery.

A car manufacturer might connect it at the alt battery terminal to save an insignificant amount of money.

It shouldn’t “
be connected somewhere that sees more electrical load.

If it were, IR drop would cause the battery to overcharge.
