Car: 1996 Camaro, 1985 Camaro

Engine: 3.8, 3.4

Transmission: WC T5, 700r4

Axle/Gears: 3.23(?), 3.42

Need some help with wiring in a diff alternator and cts swap

I had a 2 wire connector before on my alt, new one has only one red wire coming out, old 2 wire had a red one coming out similar with a connector loop, and the other wire going to the harness not sure how to wire it up...

Also, I am converting from a coolant switch(for idiot light) to sending unit(for real gauge) and the sending unit has only one prong on it, much like the fan relay or either oil pressure unit, the old switch had a 2 wire connector on it...

Need to figure this crap out so I can drive my car finally...its like all it needs atm..

Dash Rehash

It’s better to use the original type of alternator however if you must use what you have the one wire simply goes to the battery +.

Use an ohmmeter to trace which wire from the harness goes to the dash OverTemp light.
