91 firebird taillights downgrade
Hi guys, i need your help here.
I was making a downgrade in order to install 1982 taillights on my 1991 firebird following step by step this tutorial:
http://www.austinthirdgen.org/index.php?pid=37
Under the steering column i found 2 connectors (coming from the same harness) with 2 white wires (one wire on each connector) so i traced the one coming from the turn signals/wiper switch (the wire i can see removing the little plastic cover on the left side of the steering wheel) using a multimeter and then i connected the light-blue wire coming from the brake switch as described to the white wire.
And this is what happens, everytime i push the brake pedal the ignition turns on (no lights on the dash but radio turns on, i can activate wipers and roll down windows).
What's my mistake? Maybe i have to use the other white wire?

Re: 91 firebird taillights downgrade
No answer, not a good sign.
Anyhow i tried to connect the other white wire and it worked.
So that was it.
Now i got another problem, the turn signal relay flashes quicker than before because i added one bulb on each turn signal. Infact removing one bulb makes the relay flashing at the correct speed.
How do i solve this? Do i have to replace the relay?
Another thing. The front side markers only light on when i activate the turn signals... not in running light mode. It's the european version.
How can i modify these lights?
Thanks
