Please Help, No power in car at all!

I wen't to start my car, the engine wasn't completly cold, but i got in and everything was fine, I wen't to start it, and it cranked for 2 seconds but everything completely died, It never actually started, but I lost all power as if i took out the battery, I tried jumping it but no good. PLEASE HELP ME. I checked the fuses and they are all good. Any Ideas what it could be???? The car has no electrical power at all, no lights, nothing. I'm gunna try a brand new battery but i have a feeling that it wont work. I can't realy test anything with a test light because theres no power in the car at all, (at least thats what it appears to be) I appreciate all help, Please help me. Thank you!

Well actually I think the test light will be more helpful than you give it credit for. Heres what I would do. Since nothing seems to work we can be relatively certain that youve had a break in your main power distribution or ground wires. Ide start at the battery with your test light and just jump it from the positive to the negative terminal the light should obviously light up. Next I would go from the positive terminal to the body of the car or the motor. If it still lights up at least some of your grounds are good implying youve probably lost a power wire. Next I would go to your starter and touch your test light probe to the terminal the battery cable goes to and the ground to the car or the motor any good ground. Start with that and then well dig deeper.

Check cable connections at battery and where they lead to the starter and block. No power to anything would seem to be a fail at battery connection.
