HELP
i was wondering how to wire up a electric fan to a 2 way switch (2 prong), i am also wondering how to wire up fog lights? please respond asap. thanks.
Re: HELP
You will need to use a relay. Depending on the size of fan and location of relay will determine the correct relay.
For example a small square relay available from most parts stores, that would handle most fans/lights would be wired as so.
Normally open relay
Terminal/ connection
85/ + from switch
86/ ground
30/ battery +
87/ + to fan
Same rules apply to fog lights. rocker switches normally cant handle the load from fans or lights and will burn up. Let me know which relay you will be using and i can tell you the connections.

Re: HELP
This is the one that i would use
http://www.larryselectricsite.com/st...3&productid=56
on the bottom of the connector are letters next to the proper holes and your wires will go as follows
A= Fused Battery hot (25 or 30 amp fuse depending on fan size).
C= not used
D= chassis ground
E= power to fan
F= power from switch
Use at least 12 gauge wire for battery power and fan power, use 16 or 18 gauge wire for your switch, use a fused ignition source for the power for your switch, and of course you will need to ground your fan also. You will need to use pliers to "crimp" the terminals on and i would also solder them. The battery hot i would get directly from the battery, don't splice on to something else. Get an inline fuse holder from your local parts store for the fuse or larrys also sells an ATO fuse block that will work (its under replacement connectors). Hope this helps.
