whats this box?
Behind my dash I have my yellow buffer box and a large metal ecm box, what is the smaller metal box. It shares wires with the other to. I thought the buffer was my VSS so whats the other one called and what does it do? All three are next to one another..

Vss bugger box, ECM, maybe a cruise control module, or a Vats module?

Two metal cases are ECM and SIR. Smaller one with yellow connectors/tape is SIR aka airbag
The rear defrost relay also has a metal case but is significantly smaller than the others
