fuel pump not working help

k guys off subject i'm doing a camaro project with a buddy of mine we have swapped a 1995 camaro 3.4 engine trands and every piece of wiring from the donor to the new 1996 chassy what is going on is we have spark but the fuel pump gets no fire checked fuel pump relay not sure if thats it or not have checked all the fuses in-car and underhood.the color of wires coming off the fuel pump are purple,black and grey need help if u guys can we are stumped would be sweet if i could get a nice detailed wiring diagram of the fuel pump wiring ty

since the 96 would have a 3800 and you put a 3400 in it maybe incompatible fuel pumps?
do you wanna just connect a battery to it and see if you can get power?

yes that would be ok for now but we did take the pump difference in consideration so we swapped the 3.4 pump and tank also

kk grey wire is pump power on almost all GM cars what are the other colors so i can tell you the ground

purple black and grey are the three coming from the sending unit/pump and also why is the the fuel gauge pegged out at full?bad ground perhaps?

yes bad ground and since they share a ground that would be why your pump isnt working lol, looks like you need to fix that and you should be good, black is ground good luck

I'm doing a swap,3.1 into a 86 bird.the weather has me on hold.But before I stoped work the fule pump wasn't turning on yet the gauge was peged out like racesedge said his is doing.do the wires run through the car back or under the car?

Yes.

They run inside and outside of the car.

You will find a connector that is the pass-thru of the issue.

It’s located behind the rear seat.

It has a triangular flange.
