dash lights not working

Hello im new to this forum and im having trouble figuring out an electrical problem with my dash lights. I have power at my conventional center but not my fuse for instrument lights i know the lights work bc if i connect the two wires at the conventional center the lights come on. I dont know if my switch is bad bc my head lights come on and everything else works but the dash lights. none of the fuses are blown i just dont know what to check from here
