aftermarket h4 headlights

I purchased a couple aftermarket h4 headlights ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWNX%3AIT ). I was wondering if anybody has ever converted it to these and if there is any conversion needed. If so if you guys could possibly point me in the right direction.

Re: aftermarket h4 headlights

I've tried those exact H4 4x6 housings in my GTA. They totally sucked & went & bought Sylvania Silverstars the next day!

They make for good housings to cut up & put real projectors in, but that is about it.

Projectors like these are what you can use to mount in those housings. Some people go to junkyards & rob projectors from used cars. That is fine, if you can find some that work.

The hard part about putting projectors in a Firebird, is clearance for the flip up lights through their range of movement.

Re: aftermarket h4 headlights

If you run H4 bulbs, you're going to have to re-pin the existing headlight connector.

Re: aftermarket h4 headlights

Top of the page - red bar all the way across - click search. Try "headlight Conversion", try "H4 Headlight" - it's just like any other search box.

You'll also need to make a new wiring harness for headlights and use relays - anything that draws more power than stock repalcements will melt these old wires.
