BMW E36 Halo Headlight Swap

So I've Been Wanting To Put The E26 Headlights On My Iroc But The Only Way I've Seen It Done Is By Cutting Into The Radiator Support To Mount The Brackets For The Headlights, Is There Another Way To Get A Sturdy Mount On The Headlight Brackets Without Cutting Into That?? Who's Done It & Do You Know Of Any Alternatives To Doing This? Thanks.

NO, you have to no matter what, but the amount you cut will depend of what headlight you have, is the rear is square u have to cut more, if its rounded its less.

One of the moderators try to do it by cutting the headlight housing so that it wouldn't stick to far back but he dropped the project all together.

Re: BMW E36 Halo Headlight Swap

You don't have to do any cutting if you get the US set. The EURO set is bulkier. The EURO is easier to replace the halos and the US you have to cut them open and reglue but I like the US version because they are smaller and you can fit them in the stock headlight mounts. Any the wiring is easy. Just find the plugs for the 9006 & 9005 bulb at a parts store and wire them into the third gen wiring and wire the halos up to tma switch or however you want them to come on.
