1992 Camaro 3.1L Electric fan not working
I have a 1992 Camaro with the 3.1L, the electric fan doesnt work, it was wired to a toggle when i bought the car, so i check to see if maybe the relay was bad, but its good, and so is the fuse, any suggestions? I dont like the look of a toggle. I want it back to normal.

you could remove the toggle but I have a feeling previous owner used the toggle to turn the fan on direct .Perhaps follow the wires from the toggle and see where they lead to.

The ECM controls the fan on your car - ECM gets info from Coolant Temp Sensor - try replacing that. Not sure where it's at on a V6 car - on the V8 car it's in the intake by the thermostat housing. It will have one black and one yellow wire to it.
It's either got to be the CTS, or the fan relay, or the fan relay connector, since you know the fan motor itself turns.

It could also be the fan motor. Easy way to check that is just to hotwire it to the battery.

1992 v6 3.1 non AC
Replaced:
coolant fan relay
thermostat
antifreeze flush
fan works when connected to fuse box
air comes out of vents or BOTTOM vents more than anything
EGR valve replaced but no vacuum ... LAMBS auto wanted 50 bucks to reroute vacuum hose?? to intake area/hoses using a T .
any ideas?
*Have not changed out heater core. or Temp sensor next to thermostat...

Because your fan not working is a higher priority:
Using a voltmeter or test light (the type for testing for voltage, not a continuity tester) see if there is power on the orange wire at the relay.

Re: 1992 Camaro 3.1L Electric fan not working
I had the exact same thing going on with the 92 I just bought last month. Very few of electricals worked on the car. I had, and to a lesser degree still do have electrical problems. It, like yours, had a toggle to run the cooling fan. We eventually just ran a wire from the fan to another "hot" wire. So now the fan stays on when ever the engine is running. It's not a perfect fix but the car is fine to drive and it works. If all else fails this idea will at least let you drive it.
