1984 Dashboard wiring Harness
1984 Dashboard wiring Harness
There is a green housing containg a circuit board that has 4 wires connected to it. I have lost a tag i put on one of the yellow wires coming from it. I would like to know what is the name of this component, what does it do and where do the yellow wires connect up to?
sorry forgot to mention this is for a 1984 Pontiac Trans-Am with 305cui G engine,5 sp gearbox, power mirrors, windows, A/c, Cruise and power seats.
Oh the picture is of one I found on the net for the same sort of vehicle mine is set for right hand drive.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks guy's

Re: 1984 Dashboard wiring Harness
That green little box is the check engine light driver module. My 82 Trans Am had one until I upgraded to TPI and a later year ECM which doesn't need the driver. The black wire is ground, pink/black wire is 12V from the gauges fuse, yellow/black wire goes to the check engine light itself plus the ALDL connector, and finally the white wire connects to the ECM as it's the check engine indicator output.
Hope that helps.
