Convenience Center

Had a problem with the Fasten Seat belt light coming on while driving every so often. It is the usual problem that I see a lot of people have from the posts I have read. Go over a bump the light comes on, go over another bump the light goes off. I decided to try and fix this but made things worse (should have just cut the yellow wire). The seatbelt buzzer hasn't worked since I had the car but that didn't bother me. I checked the seatbelt wiring and that works, short when seatbelt not connected, open when connected. I metered this from the convenience center. I removed the convenience center and opened it up. I touched up the solder joints but when I put it back in the fasten seatbelt light stays on all the time.

I checked on ebay but couldn't see any for sale. Would anyone have a circuit diagram of the convenience center so I can follow the seatbelt circuitry. The" lights on" part of the circuit works okay. I presume that the car doesn't have to be started for the seatbelt light to go off. I didn't check this.

Any help appriecated,
Thanks.

Re: Convenience Center

I had a look round and can find a few GM Chime/buzzer modules. They have the same 7 pin connector as the one I have. I have an 82 Firebird and wonder will another GM Chime/buzzer module fit it. The number on the front of the module in my car is 1403432. I have seen two with the part number 15969639 and one with the part number 22535998but have no way of knowing if these are compatable.
